The end of Windows 7 is now

Number one on the list of IT priorities this month is the end of support of Microsoft Windows 7 devices – these machines are now unsupported and are a security risk to your business. If you’ve been putting off replacing or upgrading, now is the time!

Next on the list – there is a lot of doom and gloom coming from my monthly posts. Hackers are stealing my data, robots are stealing our jobs, my devices are too old.

But there are good IT news stories out there! An artist created fake traffic jams using a bunch of old phones, Apple sales are up again (good news for Apple anyway), and kids are making millions with 10-second videos. Hmm, sorry, that’s as good as it gets for now – there are still security flaws being discovered most weeks, large companies are still exposing your data in ways they shouldn’t and it’s a constant battle against criminals exploiting these weaknesses.

The point of this is to highlight the fact that IT and IT security is never set and forget, it is never glamorous, and it is usually really boring. It is, however, very important and we here at Intuitive IT are committed to keeping your systems safe so you can do all the interesting, glamorous and completely not boring things that you do and not get bogged down with the technology!
