Mission Travel Group was established to provide value priced airfares and holistic professional travel services for missionaries, mission agencies, aid and development organisations and churches undertaking short-term mission trips.

As a highly energised business, Mission Travel is extremely entrepreneurial and constantly developing new concepts and ingenious ways to increase their footprint.

The Task

Mission Travel’s IT systems had fallen into disrepair due to lack of maintenance and focus on business-building priorities.

Ad-hoc support had been provided by a number of providers and these were found to either not have the necessary expertise to manage these systems or to not be able to respond quickly enough.

 

The Solution

The initial phase of our engagement with Mission Travel was to go through an “SMB IT Health Report”. This entails half a day reviewing equipment and key systems configuration and half a day reporting back on our findings.

The approach highlights “low hanging fruit” – issues that stick out as obvious to IT experts but are confusing or hidden to business owners or IT end users.

Mission Travel was very fast to respond to our recommendations and engaged on a number of them immediately including:

  • All Updates applied to SBS 2003 server and desktops
  • Correction of capacity issues on the server
  • Backup strategy designed an implemented with minimal cost and complexity
  • Upgrade of disparate antivirus solution to Trend Worry-Free Business Security (Advanced) including hosted mail security
  • Consolidated email address schema for multiple domains
  • Installation of UPS for data protection and graceful shutdown
  • Network Boundary Hardening

Mission Travel is now under a support agreement with Intuitive IT which delivers highly proactive and responsive services for their critical systems.

The Business

Melbourne Water is owned by the Victorian Government. They:

  • manage $8.4 billion in assets
  • look after Melbourne's water supply catchments
  • treat and supply drinking water
  • remove and treat most of Melbourne's sewage
  • provide recycled water for non-drinking purposes
  • manage rivers and creeks and major drainage systems throughout the Port Phillip and Westernport region

An independent Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of Melbourne Water. The responsible Minister is the Minister for Water.

The Task

With a new document management system procedure to roll out to over 2000 people, Melbourne Water needed a way to reach and train them.

The Solution

An online multimedia training module was developed. The module, hosted on the document management system itself, guides employees through a series of slides with an accompanying voice over and animations.

A handy table of contents was presented so staff could easily revisit specific topics with the click of a button.

The module was developed in less than 4 weeks to meet Melbourne Water's tight deadline.

The site was built using the DotNetNuke CMS which gives Executive Catch the ability to change the content easily and quickly and provide site search straight "out of the box".

In the coming months, the flexibility of the CMS will allow functionality to be quickly added at a minimal cost to Executive Catch.

The Business

JMA Credit Solutions established 1960, is a Credit Management Agency that provides a range of services that help safeguard the credit of large and small business and professions.

Our function is to provide services that focus on reducing overdue accounts and preventing bad debts together with solutions to collect your overdue accounts quickly and cost -effectively.

 

The Task

With a new year, JMA wanted a new look for their regular e-mail newsletter.  Their original newsletter was dated in look and feel and had compatibility issues with the plethora of different e-mail clients out there.

The Solution

Intuitive IT created an e-mail newsletter template to ensure that all future newsletters were consistant in layout.  The template was also tested in many of the major e-mail clients and web based email services including but not limited to:

  • Microsoft Outlook Express (XP and Vista)
  • Microsoft Outlook 97/XP/2003/2007
  • Microsoft Outlook Web Access
  • Gmail
  • Yahoo Mail
  • Hotmail
  • Thunderbird

In addition to the layout and compatibility the template was created with ROI in mind.  With the new template, JMA now has the ability to drive more traffic to the website and also see which articles are providing that traffic

The Business

Established in 1996, Leading Edge Telecoms Fitzroy was founded on one principal - Providing high quality customer service. The initial business began around the family dinner table. The service was low-cost international calls. From there, the business grew with the mobile phone boom but didn't stop there.  Now as well as providing mobile phones, they provide accessories, internet connectivity and fixed line services.

The Task

With 4 PCs and limited IT experience, LET Fitzroy was in desperate need of IT Assistance.  Data was shared across PCs, printers were directly connected to computers, there was no anti-virus software or backups taking place.

The Solution

Setting up Small Business Server 2003, Intuitive IT migrated all the data off the PCs and on to 1 centralised server.  Backups were setup, anti-virus software installed and maintained and PCs were setup on a monthly patch cycle to address security concerns.  Speaking of security, LET Fitzroy's internet connection was analysed and also secured to stop hackers from getting in.
