Can your business continue if staff can't come into the office?
At this moment, we are reviewing both DRP and BCP for Intuitive IT. The reality is, with the first instances of schools, companies and office blocks becoming unavailable, we need to consider the question:
If my staff can't come into the office, can the business continue to function?
This is going to be the next big thing in IT security exploitation and it has the potential to be highly destructive to any business who is using Office 365.
Manual procedures around backups are no longer required and are a risk to your business data
Backups are required. All businesses make sure IT has put in a system in place to manage it. But what about the non-technical procedures? What happens when the responsible person let this procedure lapse and doesn't swap the disks?
What happens when your account gets compromised and you don’t have unique passwords and two-factor authentication?
The perpetrator may have access to your email, banking, social media, and voice communications (mobile and landline) and may cause you and your business significant cyber damage.
